About Me

A question I get asked a lot is 'How did you get involved with Amsoil?'

A great question for sure and one that has a journey/history behind it.

Born and raised in a suburb of Montreal back in 1964, I am the eldest of 4 boys.  My earliest memories are being around my Father who worked his butt off to support our family.  He always had some form of revenue stream that involved equipment services to the general public.  In addtion to his regular job, his entrepreneurial spirit had him roto-tilling gardens in the Spring and Snow removal services in the Winter months.  At its largest, the snow removal business consisted of 3 John Deere tractors outfitted with heated cabs, front end loaders with big snow buckets, hydraulically controlled back end double auger blowers as well as a 5 tonne dump truck with snow blade and a 1 tonne pick up with snow blade.

Dad had me behind the wheel of the tractors by the time I was 15 and would set me loose in customer parking lots to hone my skills of operating heavy equipment without damagaing anything!  I learned the value of hard work and the long hours involved in not only serving customers but maintaining equipment as well.

Once I was 16 and actually had a drivers license, I was fortunate enough to have my Dad give me a car!  Wow...you might think!  Well, this was no ordinary car.  It was a 1966 Ford Fairlane with over 250,000 miles on it and barely running.  The floor boards were rusted out and it leaked oil like crazy.  Dad's message to me, "...if you are going to drive it, you better learn to fix it."  What 16 year old boy would turn down that challenge!!  LOL   So began the beginning of my love of cars and the automotive world.  I upgraded the motor in that Ford Fairlane from the stock 289 to a  302 and finally up to a 351.    That old car created all kinds of memories and life lessons at that time of my life.

I graduated from Bishop's University in 1988 with a Business Degree (B.B.A.) and moved out to Western Canada.  My sales and operations management career in warehouse & transportation logistics has been a great experience and continues today under my own consulting company Tambro Warehouse Solutions Inc. My interests are varied.  Over and above my interest in anything mechanical, my interests range from NASCAR to golf, hockey (I currently play twice per week), whitewater kayaking, camping and snowmobiling.  

It was through my love of snowmobiling that I was introduced to the AMSOIL home business opportunity back in 2010.  As of 2014, I have risen to the status of Direct Jobber within AMSOIL and it has become a very nice compliment to my logistics consulting business.

What really intrigued me with AMSOIL was the opportunity.  I had been introduced to other opportunites in the past and dabbled with some of them but never really had the passion for those other businesses.  The fact that AMSOIL was a recognizable name brand in North America and I could be a Dealer for them as a home based business is what garnered my interest.  The fact that I could approach businesses in not only my immediate geographic location but all over North America (Quick Lubes to Power Sports Dealers) and show them a product that was not only recognizable but had great profit margin in it for them, really excited me.
